Bee downplays Christianson trial … Morning Mayor Show to cover trial
How about some one line observations on the Christianson Trial as not reported in the Bee.
The Bee reports the trial with one paragraph in “News and Notes” and then goes to the Hive for more info.
Jury selection for the trial begins this morning at 10. The court is at 10th and H
Judge Beauchesne has removed former Mayors Ridenour and Sabatino from the witness list.
Sabatino answered questions at his deposition. Ridenour refused to answer questions if he was deposed.
Beauchesne rules that the Sheriff and Mayors calendar and timecards not relevant to Lydia Lopez time cards.
Bee editor Judy Sly and reporter Adam Ashton find sheriff and mayor innocent of wrong doing.
Beauchesne seems to be assigned cases involving the city and the county.
The legal defense team is occupying office space at the Sheriff’s office…sort of a “command post”.
